Welcome to Plume Fossil!

We're digging in the dirt here. Like, sticking our fingers right in there. Let's go. Maybe we'll find some treasures!

Plume Fossil is a website I made to cover my favourite things in the world: paleontology and Pokemon. And so that is what you'll find here. I'm hoping to bring some fun insight into different paleomedia, most especially that of the past that I grew up with, as well as focusing on my favourite kinds of Pokemon. A little hit of nostalgia, indulgence, and an excuse to learn how to code a website. We're doing it all, baby!

In terms of dinosaurs, you'll find coverage of paleo-documentaries (mainly those that I grew up with in the early 2000s), and information on dinosaur parks and museums as I do my research on them.

In terms of Pokemon, you'll find cool insight on the fossil mons, of course, with info on their origins, as well as a personal focus on what I like to call the "kaiju mons": the mostly gen 1 Pokemon created very early on, and still carrying that "kaiju" vibe the initial Capsule Monsters pitch was leaning on.

By all means, go clicking around and explore. I'm still fiddling with things as I learn how to build a website as I go. So, apologies for any weirdness or amateur mistakes. But please, enjoy!
